Preparing the Student

Allie Joy's Guitar Studio offers two options for how your child learns.

Private Lessons or Classroom Setting

1. Private lessons offer a focused environment for individual progress and goals. Lessons are once a week for 30 minutes. Be sure to contact us to secure your spot.

2. We offer three 6-week sessions teaching basic guitar knowledge increasing in difficulty until the student graduates into a more private setting. Classes sizes are small ensuring each student will get the attention they need to be successful.

All group sessions will begin in the fall and run through the spring on Saturday mornings. Fees vary for each class and must be paid in full before class begins. It is strongly recommended to begin with session A to make sure every student gets all of the basic information before graduating to the next class.

A class demonstration will take place for parents the last day of each session to show off the students newly acquired musical skills. Students who graduate all three sessions will receive a certificate of completion. We will celebrate your student's accomplishment by providing their first private lesson for free!

Session A: 9:00 to 9:30 AM Session B: 9:45 to 10:15 AM Session C :10:30 to 11:00 AM

Getting Ready

Meet Allie Joy

Allie was raised in Franklin until 2021 when she and her family relocated to Racine.

Allie's first interest in guitar happened at two years old at a local Target where she spotted a pink toy guitar. At the age of eight, Allie picked up her first real guitar and has loved playing ever since.

Within a year of beginning acoustic guitar, Allie added banjo to her musical vocabulary. It was a natural flow to her fingerstyle of playing. A few years later, electric guitar became her next obsession. Her rich education has provided a proficiency in general music theory and guitar theory. She is currently continuing her studies at a collegiate level and is continuing with her beloved music teacher.

Allie has played live at various venues with an eclectic band of musicians who love music just as much as she does.

Allie's mission is to lead future guitarists to thrive in the world of music.
